If your walking, running, or workout wasn’t recorded correctly by GoBe, here’s what you need to know about how activity tracking works and what can affect accuracy.
How GoBe detects activity
GoBe determines physical activity based on data from two sensors:
The accelerometer, which tracks arm movement
The piezo sensor, which monitors heart rate
This means GoBe is most accurate when your arms are actively moving during the activity. If your hands are still or constrained, the movement may not be detected correctly.
When activity may not be recorded properly
GoBe may not register your walking, running, or workout accurately in the following cases:
You hold onto a shopping cart or treadmill rails
Your hand is in a pocket or you're carrying a bag
You’re on a bike, elliptical, or doing weight training
You’re walking slowly or taking frequent pauses
For example, GoBe recognizes an activity as "Walking" only when:
You walk continuously for at least 1 minute
Your pace is faster than 90 steps per minute
Your arms move freely
If any of these conditions are not met, GoBe will register the activity as "Routine", and it may not be counted toward your physical activity stats.
What to do if your activity wasn’t recorded
If you’re confident your walk or run met the criteria above, but it still wasn’t logged correctly:
Open the HEALBE app
Find the exact date and time of the activity
Take a screenshot of your activity data
Send it to our support team so our engineers can review it
