If your GoBe shows “Calculating” for hydration for an extended period and never displays actual data, there may be several reasons behind it. Here’s what you can check and do to resolve the issue:
1. Hydration calculation takes time to start
After you put the band on your wrist, it can take 30 minutes to 3 hours for GoBe to calculate your hydration level. If this is your first day wearing the band after a break or reset, please give it some time to complete the calculation.
2. Poor skin contact may delay calculation
For the hydration algorithm to start, GoBe must collect consistent, quality data through its sensors. Loose contact with the skin is the most common reason for hydration staying in “Calculating” mode.
Please check the following:
The band should sit two fingers above the wrist bone
The strap must be tight enough for good sensor contact, but not uncomfortably tight
The sensors on the bottom of the device and the skin on your wrist must be clean and dry
Try gently tightening the strap to ensure a snug fit. If the band is too loose, the sensors may not gather enough reliable data to begin calculation.
3. Recent reset or firmware update
If you’ve recently reset the device or updated the firmware, hydration data may not appear until the next morning, even if you wear the band overnight. This is expected behavior due to how the algorithm processes new data after a reset.
4. Still not working after 2 days?
If hydration remains in “Calculating” mode for more than two full days of proper wear, it could indicate a persistent contact issue or a technical malfunction.
In this case, please:
Take a screenshot of the Hydration screen from your app
Share how long you’ve been wearing the band continuously
We’ll use this information to investigate further and help resolve the issue.
