If your GoBe U smart band isn’t charging properly, don’t worry — we’ll help you troubleshoot the issue. Charging problems can be caused by the power source, charging cable, or even the band itself. Follow the steps below to identify and resolve the issue.
1. Check the Charging Cable and Connection
Ensure that the charging pins on the cable are movable and aligned at the same height.
When connecting the cable to the band, check if the magnet holds it firmly in place or if there’s a gap on one side.
Gently wiggle the cable and connectors to see if this affects the charging process.
2. Try a Different Power Source and Check for Clean Contacts
Use different charging sources such as a USB port, power bank, or wall adapter.
Make sure the charging contacts on the band are clean and dry.
Charging issues are often caused by buildup on the contacts. This can be due to skin particles, creams, gels, or sweat composition. Residue may appear as white or green buildup, or black dots.
3. How to Clean the Charging Contacts
To restore proper charging functionality, clean the contacts as follows:
Moisten a cotton swab with water.
Press the tip to a dishwashing liquid bottle (must be based on surfactants) to apply a small amount.
Gently clean the contacts. It’s okay if it foams.
Rinse under running water, continuing to wipe with the swab.
Rinse again with plain water (this time without the swab). You can also rinse the main electrodes.
Pat dry with a towel and wipe the contacts again with a dry swab.
Important: Do not wet the charging cable contacts — they are not water-resistant.
4. Charging Indicators
When charging resumes:
The LED on the cable should turn red.
The band’s LED will blink to indicate battery level:
Green: Battery at 70% or higher
Yellow: Battery between 20–70%
Red: Battery below 20%
