If your GoBe U smart band displays a Service Error, don’t worry — in most cases, the issue can be resolved with a few simple steps. This article explains what the error means and how to perform a factory reset if needed.
What Is a Service Error?
When a Service Error occurs, GoBe U enters a special mode to signal that something went wrong in the system. In this mode:
The band displays a solid red backlight at 30% brightness
It emits short red flashes at 100% brightness
The number of flashes corresponds to the error code
Error codes and meanings:
01 – Memory error
02 – Functional firmware won’t launch
03 – Internal system error
04 – System bus error
05 / 06 – Communication controller error
Important: Data Loss Warning
To resolve the error, you may need to perform a factory reset. Please note: any unsaved data (e.g., recent steps or calorie intake) may be lost during this process.
Special Case: SERVICE 02
If your device shows SERVICE 02, you might not need a reset. If the band successfully connects to the HEALBE app, the app will prompt a firmware update automatically. Only if this update fails should you proceed with a factory reset.
How to Perform a Factory Reset
Follow these steps:
Turn off the band by pressing and holding the control button for 3 seconds
Press and hold the button again for 7 seconds, then release
Open the HEALBE app and reconnect the band
Set a new PIN code and complete the firmware update
If these steps don’t work or you’re unsure how to proceed, don’t hesitate to contact HEALBE Customer Care. We’re here to help!
