If your GoBe U does not start charging after you connect the charging cable, first check the cable, power source, and charging contacts.
1. Check the Charging Cable
Inspect the charging cable contacts:
- Make sure the charging pins are movable and approximately the same height.
- Check that the cable is held firmly in place by the magnet and that there is no noticeable gap between the cable and the band.
- Gently adjust the position of the cable and check whether charging starts.
2. Try a Different Power Source
Try connecting your GoBe U to a different power source, such as:
- A computer USB port
- A power bank
- A wall adapter
If GoBe U starts charging with a different power source, the issue may be related to the original power source.
3. Check the Charging Contacts
Make sure the charging contacts on your GoBe U are clean and dry.
Over time, sweat, skin particles, cosmetics, and other residue can build up on the contacts and interfere with the connection to the charging cable. This residue may appear as white or green buildup or dark spots.
If the contacts are dirty, we recommend cleaning them.
How Do I Clean the Charging Contacts?
You can use a small amount of surfactant-based dishwashing liquid to clean the contacts.
- Moisten a cotton swab with water and apply a small amount of dishwashing liquid.
- Gently clean the charging contacts on your GoBe U. A small amount of foam is normal.
- Rinse the contacts under running water while continuing to gently clean them with the swab.
- Rinse the band again with clean water. You can also rinse the main electrodes if needed.
- Gently pat your GoBe U dry with a towel and wipe the charging contacts with a dry cotton swab.
- Make sure the contacts are completely dry before reconnecting the charging cable.
Important: Do not get the charging cable or its contacts wet. The charging cable is not water-resistant.
How Do I Know if GoBe U Is Charging?
When GoBe U is connected to a power source:
- The LED on the charging cable should turn red.
- The light indicator on GoBe U will flash according to the current battery level:
- Green - 70% or higher
- Yellow - 20% to 70%
- Red - below 20%
If your GoBe U still does not charge after checking the cable, trying another power source, and cleaning the contacts, please contact HEALBE Customer Care. We’ll help determine the cause of the issue and the next steps.
