GoBe3 does not identify the foods you eat or count calories directly from your meals. Instead, FLOW Technology analyzes physiological changes associated with energy being absorbed and used by your body to estimate calorie intake.
Because of this, GoBe3 data may differ from calories calculated manually from your meals or entered in a food-tracking app.
Keep Your Weight Up to Date
Regular weigh-ins are important for automatic calibration and calorie intake accuracy.
For the algorithm to calibrate your data, add at least 5 weigh-ins within the last 2 weeks to your HEALBE account.
Why Don’t Calories Appear Immediately After a Meal?
GoBe3 registers calorie intake as nutrients are absorbed by the body, rather than at the moment you eat.
The time between eating and absorption varies depending on the amount and composition of the meal. Some nutrients may begin to be absorbed relatively quickly, while others can take several hours. Absorption from different meals may also overlap.
This means that calories shown by GoBe3 should not be expected to correspond to a particular meal or appear immediately after eating.
Why Can GoBe3 Show Calorie Intake While I’m Fasting?
GoBe3 may also register energy obtained from your body’s internal reserves. Therefore, calorie intake data may still appear during fasting, dieting, or periods of increased physical activity even when you have not recently eaten.
When Should I Check the Final Data?
Calorie intake calculations require time to be processed and finalized.
For this reason, we recommend evaluating a day’s calorie intake after noon on the following day, when the algorithm has finished processing the data.
For the most accurate results, wear GoBe3 regularly, keep your weight information up to date, and evaluate calorie intake over longer periods rather than comparing individual readings with specific meals.
