Let us explain how GoBe3 tracks calories.
GoBe3 does not directly track what you eat, rather it tracks the energy consumed by your body.
When your body absorbs energy, either from the food that you eat or from internal resources, the glucose level in your blood rises. To absorb glucose the cells need to release water. GoBe3 analyzes fluid moving in and out of the cells. Then we apply FLOW Technology advanced algorithm to this information in order to analyze this data and calculate calorie intake.
This explains why you may be fasting for example, for three days in a row, and GoBe3 would still show energy consumption.
GoBe3 registers calorie intake at the time when calories are absorbed by the body, at the stage of nutrients getting into the blood.
It is important to understand also that GoBe registers not only calories received from food, but those obtained from an internal reserve. When you are fasting, following a diet or exercising, you may get a higher intake from that source than usual, because GoBe3 does not differentiate between the calories received from food and those obtained from internal resources (like fat and\or muscle tissue).
