Contraindications for using the HEALBE Smart Scale

Who should not use the HEALBE Smart Scale?

The HEALBE Smart Scale uses bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA). During a measurement, a very weak electrical current passes through the body to determine body composition parameters.

For this reason, the scale should not be used by people with implanted electronic medical devices, including:

• pacemakers;
• implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs);
• other implanted electronic medical devices.

The electrical current used for bioimpedance measurements may potentially interfere with the operation of such devices, so using the scale in these cases is contraindicated.

Can I use the scale if I have stents?

If you only have stents and do not have any implanted electronic medical devices, you may use the scale, as stents do not interact with the bioimpedance current.

If you have a cardiovascular condition or have had a heart attack, we recommend consulting your doctor before using the scale.

Can I use the scale during pregnancy?

During pregnancy, the HEALBE Smart Scale should only be used after consulting your doctor.
