GoBe U’s Neuroactivity feature helps you recognize your mental and physical state in real time - so you can avoid unnecessary tension and improve productivity and well-being. It gives you insights into your autonomic nervous system (NS) activity and how it affects your overall performance, mood, and energy levels.
What Is Neuroactivity?
The Neuroactivity feature reflects how active your nervous system is. The autonomic nervous system controls involuntary body functions like heart rate, digestion, and stress response. For example, your neural activity spikes when you're giving a public presentation, and it slows when you're meditating.
Unlike the stress level feature, which shows the impact of stress, neuroactivity helps you recognize signs of overstrain in advance, giving you the opportunity to take action before it drains your energy.
How GoBe U Measures Nervous System Activity
GoBe U uses Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) technology to measure changes in your skin’s electrical resistance 10 times per second. These readings reflect how your body is responding to internal and external stimuli.
The data is processed by HEALBE’s algorithms to identify your current nervous system state, which is shown directly on your GoBe's screen and in the HEALBE app.
Nervous System States
GoBe U identifies four key states of nervous system activity:
Calmness – A state of deep relaxation. Your body and mind are in recovery mode.
Efficacy – The optimal performance state. You’re focused and productive with minimal strain.
Tension – A functional state, but one that uses up your energy reserves.
Overload – An overexcited nervous system that can quickly lead to fatigue and reduced performance.
Recognizing these states throughout the day helps you maintain balance and avoid burnout.
The Neuroactivity Section in the HEALBE App
In the HEALBE GoBe app, you’ll find a dedicated section for Neuroactivity, which includes:
Current state – See how your nervous system is functioning right now.
Trend – View changes in your state throughout the day or week.
NS activity graph – Understand how your nervous system responds to various events.
Maximal tension – Spot the times of day when your body experienced peak tension.
Sleep – See how your nervous system recovered during sleep.
States – Learn how often and how long you spent in each state.
Why It Matters
With Neuroactivity tracking, you can:
Detect early signs of overstrain
Reduce fatigue caused by tension
Adjust your schedule for better efficiency
Evaluate how lifestyle changes (like exercise or meditation) affect your nervous system
Improve long-term mental wellness and focus
