GoBe U uses wireless communication and low-level electrical signals to support its functions. The electromagnetic radiation emitted by the device is very low and non-ionizing.
What Electrical Signals Does GoBe U Use?
To measure the bioimpedance of the skin and tissues, GoBe U uses electrical signals at specific frequencies in the area beneath the electrodes.
The voltage amplitude is set so that the current does not exceed the permissible levels for prolonged exposure established by the international standard IEC 60601-1-1:2000.
How Deeply Does the Electrical Signal Penetrate?
The effect of the electrical signal is localized to the area beneath the band’s electrodes and reaches a depth of no more than 4 cm.
Therefore, the electrical signal used for bioimpedance measurements does not penetrate deeply enough to affect internal organs, including the heart.
Is GoBe U Safe to Wear?
The electrical signals used by GoBe U for bioimpedance measurements are low-level and localized to the area beneath the band’s electrodes.
When using GoBe U, please follow the device instructions and take into account the contraindications and safety limitations specified for the device.
