HEALBE FLOW technology is at the core of GoBe's automatic calorie tracking. Its accuracy has been supported by independent research and protected by several international patents.
Research studies
United States
In 2018, the Institute of Nutrition at the University of California, Davis conducted a study to evaluate the accuracy of GoBe in tracking calorie intake.
- 27 volunteers wore the device for 14 days under supervision
- Data was grouped into three-day intervals to estimate average daily calorie intake
- The difference between GoBe data and manual logs was only 10 percent
- GoBe showed up to 90 percent accuracy in healthy adult participants
China
Later in 2018, the Red Cross Hospital in Guangzhou conducted a similar pilot study using GoBe.
- Volunteers wore the device for two weeks
- Calorie data was again grouped into three-day intervals
- The difference between GoBe and manual calorie tracking was just 16 percent

Some of the registered patents include:
- Method for detecting water deficiency in a human body
- Method for measuring the glycemic index of human-consumed food
- Method for determining a person's sleep phase favorable for waking up
These innovations make GoBe a unique tool for measuring calorie intake based on real physiological changes.
