Yes, absolutely! GoBe3 supports a smart alarm feature.
What is a smart alarm and why is it smart? The Smart Alarm function of GoBe3 will prompt you to wake during the REM phase of sleep, known as the easiest time to wake from. During REM (random eye movement) sleep, the brain’s manner of functioning is closest to being awake (REM sleep is also the phase of sleep associated with dreaming). Using the accelerometer and the optical sensor, GoBe3 recognizes when you are in REM sleep based on your body movements and heart rate, and then sends you an alarm during your last REM cycle before your scheduled wake time, reducing grogginess and fatigue throughout the day.
If you are already own the device, to set up a smart alarm, from the main dashboard in your Healbe app click the wristband icon (Android) or chain link icon (iOS) in the top right corner of the screen -> Smart Alarms. There you need to set the time and select a time period during which the alarm will go off.
The Smart Alarm feature will detect if there is a REM phase during the indicated time period and will go off at the end of the REM phase. This makes waking up considerably less stressful for your body. If no REM phase has been detected, the alarm will go off at the exact time you have set.
