Let us explain how GoBe3 tracks calories.
GoBe3 does not directly track what you eat, rather it tracks the energy consumed by your body.
When your body absorbs energy, either from the food that you eat or from internal resources, the glucose level in your blood rises. To absorb glucose the cells need to release water. GoBe3 analyzes fluid moving in and out of the cells. Then we apply FLOW Technology advanced algorithm to this information in order to analyze this data and calculate calorie intake.
It is important to understand that GoBe's algorithms are very sensitive and register not only physiological processes related directly to the digestion of food, but also release of ketons into the bloodstream, which can happen during fasting, after significant physical activity, intermittent eating, intoxication from alcohol, and ketogenic diets. Although these processes are registered, at the moment there is no way to see how many calories were received from each source. We hope that such possibility will appear in the future firmware updates!
