The new sleep algorithm takes the following metrics into account:

Duration (total daily or separate sleep interval);

Wake-ups duration;

Sleep quality;

REM-phases;

Wake-ups count;

Recommendations.
All readings are calculated per day(astrological 24-hour day period) and only for the time your GoBe was worn.
Sleep algorithm
Sleep is calculated inside the 24-hour day period, which changes at 00:00.
The minimum recommended length of sleep is 30 minutes.
The algorithm can record sleep lasting less than 30 minutes only if you were completely still.
When sleep period is detected:
The start time of sleep is displayed with a 5-minute error relative to the actual exact time of falling asleep. Falling asleep counts only when body is motionless. In cases of low activity during falling asleep, the time of the sleep start is recorded with a longer delay.
The end of sleep time is displayed with a delay of 2 minutes if you are actively moving. In special cases, the end of sleep time is recorded with a delay of up to 5 minutes.
The sleep period has the beginning and the end and may include wake-up periods.
Wake-up counts if during the sleep period there was a time of wakefulness shorter than an hour (<=1 hour). Wake-up duration affects the calculation of sleep Quality.
Since the sleep algorithm works offline, sleep intervals and awakenings are registered with a delay.
The value of sleep Quality can also be registered with a delay, because the Duration and Wake-up data is used in its calculation. A wakeful time between two different sleep periods is now “squeezed” on the graph and grayed out, as on the picture.
The number of Wake-ups and their duration per sleep are calculated in the GoBe and then sent to the app.
Sleep Quality is a cumulative parameter. If more sleep is recorded during the 24-hour period, the Quality of sleep increases.
Sleep Quality calculation takes into account:

Sleep duration norm according to health data;

Normal sleep duration specified by you;

Number of awakenings and their duration.
Sleep Quality level is ranked as follows:
0-45% very short sleep
46-60% possible lack of sleep
61-75% short sleep
76-90% long sleep
91-100% optimal sleep
Recommendations are calculated based on your Sleep data for the last 6 days, the amount of time with Very high stress level and high activity for the current 24-hour period.
