The latest research related to FLOW technology was conducted in the USA and China. A short summary of the research is provided below.
USA
In the fall of 2018, the Institute of Nutrition at the University of California, Davis conducted a study on the calorie-tracking functionality of GoBe2. The scientists compared the accuracy of the device vs. manual calorie counting.
Twenty-seven volunteers wore GoBe2 for 14 days under the supervision of specialists. To estimate their average daily caloric intake, the data was grouped into three-day intervals. The GoBe2 readings and the manual calorie count differed in accuracy by 10%.
GoBe2 demonstrated up to 90% accuracy among healthy adult volunteers.
China
At the end of 2018, the Red Cross Hospital in Guangzhou conducted a pilot study of the calorie-tracking function of the GoBe2. The volunteers were asked to wear GoBe2 for two weeks. The data was grouped into three-day intervals to estimate average daily caloric intake.
The average daily caloric intake value obtained using GoBe2 and the results of manual counting differed by only 16%.
