I am not doing anything, but my heart rate is really high. Should I be worried?
Healbe GoBe2 measures heart rate with the help of a piezoelectric sensor, which is especially accurate when determining heart rate at rest. The heart rate at rest can be read incorrectly due to wearer fidgeting and flexing the hand with the GoBe2 on.
When the user is sitting\lying down, his\her heart rate is fairly low. However, flexing the hand and\or fidgeting with it will cause the heart rate to go up in this particular body part which will cause interference to our piezoelectric sensor. This sort of interference will be visible on all medical devices, e.g. blood pressure meters. Due to GoBe2 measuring the heart rate on the small patch of skin that comes in contact with the sensor, the algorithm will assume that the person is active.
Conclusively, the heart rate will appear to be higher than it actually is.
What do I do?
If you suspect that your heart rate might be incorrect, please relax and do not move for 15-20 seconds. Please make sure that you haven't done any physical activities just before sitting down. The heart rate needs some time to slow down. Once the heart icon is filled, your pulse measurement should be correct again.
Our developers are putting all their skill and resources towards making the heart algorithm more accurate, regardless of external interference. We are grateful for your patience!
